The University of Massachusetts Amherst, an open, land-grant, research college set up in 1863, is among the biggest state funded colleges in New England with more than 29,000 students. Intended for working professionals,Pepperdine University's online MBA program gives students a solid foundation in management and business practice and theory. Offered through the college's Graziadio School of Business and Management, the program helps students develop communication and leadership skills while building on their knowledge in marketing, finance, information systems and economics. The values-centered, experience-driven, collaborative online MBA program emphasizes ethical decision making and leadership skills.

Online MBA students can tailor the degree to their own and expert objectives through choosing from four focuses — Leadership and Managing Organizational Change, Finance, Marketing, and General Management. Toward the start of the program, students must go to an end of the week long on-campus Personal and Leadership Development course.Students can win their degree in as little as two years. Students in the General Management focus can finish the program in six trimesters, while students  in alternate concentrations can finish the program in seven trimesters — unless they take 12 units during the fourth trimester.
